Eliza R Recruitment is currently looking for a professional, organised and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join a well-established private physiotherapy clinic in North West London.

This is a patient-facing role where excellent communication, empathy and attention to detail are essential. Many patients attending the clinic may be experiencing pain, discomfort or anxiety, so we are looking for someone who can remain calm, supportive and professional while ensuring the reception and administrative side of the clinic runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and provide a professional, warm and reassuring first point of contact

• Manage patient appointments, bookings, cancellations and diary changes

• Answer telephone calls and respond to patient enquiries by phone and email

• Support patients who may be in pain or distress with empathy and professionalism

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records

• Carry out general reception and administrative duties

• Process documentation and support the clinical team with day-to-day administration

• Liaise with physiotherapists and other members of the clinic team

• Take payments and assist with relevant billing administration where required

• Ensure reception and patient-facing areas remain organised and presentable

• Handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately

What We’re Looking For

• Previous reception, administration or customer service experience

• Experience within private healthcare, physiotherapy, medical, dental or clinical environments would be highly advantageous

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A genuinely empathetic and patient-focused approach

• Calm and professional manner, particularly when dealing with patients experiencing pain or frustration

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Confident telephone and email communication

• Good general administrative and computer skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy clinic environment

• Discretion and understanding of patient confidentiality

• Reliable, professional and comfortable working independently as well as part of a clinical team

The Position

This is a part-time permanent position, starting from November 2026.
